StarLAN Consulting Services was established in 2002 by Ward Dorrity in Spirit Lake, Idaho in order to provide information management products and services and cost effective data security solutions to the small office / home office and small business community. Mr. Dorrity has over 28 years of experience in information management technology, software development, project management, product development and business process analysis. Mr. Dorrity's career encompasses significant achievements in systems analysis, network engineering, product development, and IT direction for the following firms:

US Geological Survey Service (Geomag Group), Idaho Bureau of Lands, Northwest Tile and Floors, Idaho Log Crafters, B & D Construction, The Kalispell Tribe of Indians, WGI Heavy Minerals, F5 Networks, Inc, Microsoft Corporation, NEC (Boxborough, MA & Tokyo, Japan), Key Bank Systems and Programming Group (Tigard, OR), LifeScan, Inc. In 1999 and after a successful career at Microsoft where he worked on successive releases of Microsoft's SQL Server, Mr. Dorrity moved to the Northern Idaho countryside with his family, where he and his wife and business partner enjoy North Idaho country life with their horses, cats and dogs.
