Idaho Log Crafters, Harrison, ID: built Microsoft Small Business Server solution for company, also designed and built remote access solution for in-the-field employees using Microsoft RDP. Designed and installed Acronis-based automated server image backup system.
Lookout Pass Ski Resort, Lookout Pass, ID: upgraded original StarBand VSAT internet access system, built secure WLAN solution linking main office, SAR group, ticket and scheduling office with point-to-point bridges and repeaters.
USGS - Geomagnetism Group, Newport, WA and Denver Colorado: Installed LinkStar VSAT system and integrated connection with real-time data acquisition network at the Newport site. Troubleshot and resolved networking issues at Newport site.
Idado Department of Lands - Coolin Site: Installed iDirect VSAT system and integrated connection with Boise office HQ. Troubleshot and resolved networking issues at Coolin site
Landtek Surveyors, Inc, Spokane, WA: Installed SonicWALL security appliance, Windows 2000 Server w/Active Directory (later upgraded to Windows Small Business Server). Specified and built several high-performance AutoCAD workstations for group.
B & D Construction, Blanchard, ID: Specified, built and implemented StarBand VSAT internet access system integrated with secure WLAN solution linking main office and shop facilities.
Baldwin Capital Partners, LLC, Hayden, ID and Singapore: Installed WildBlue VSAT internet access system, designed and built secure WLAN network as shown in this diagram.
Northwest Tile And Floors, Coeur d'Alene, ID: Took on responsibility for cleaning up and finishing botched Windows Server implementation. Installed Active Directory, provided proper user access to resources and line-of-business application. Built and installed new server to run Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 for branch office support and delivery of line-of-business application. Designed and installed secure wireless LAN solution to overcome building cabling deficiencies. Supported group of 15 Windows desktops. Achieved low-maintenance/zero maintenance network and server infrastructure. Designed and installed Acronis-based automated server image backup system.
WGI Heavy Minerals, Coeur d'Alene, ID: Installed LinkStar VSAT system to link Emerald Creek mining operation with CDA main office. Upgraded and rebuilt existing Citrix 1.8 installation to Citrix Presentation Server 4.5. Greatly improved delivery of of line-of-business application to Emerald Creek and Ephrata operations. Implemented secure wireless multi-zone LAN solution to overcome poor cabling in new location. Documented entire WGI network layout (previously undocumented) and delivered said documentation via an internal web server. Cleaned up and improved performance of WGI network using SonicWALL routers. Provided support to primarily Mac desktop environment. Worked with line-of-business vendor to consolidate three servers into one (Citrix, line-of-business app front end, file and print services and user authentication). Put in place automated backup system and policies for critical servers and routers.
BenchMark Graphics, Coeur d'Alene, ID: Moved business from peer-to-peer network to Windows Server Active Directory environment. Implemented with secure WLAN solution linking main office and shop facilities. Designed and installed Acronis-based automated server image backup system.
Century 21 Buetler and Associates, Coeur d'Alene, ID: proposed, led and implemented migration from aging Netware server system to MS Windows 200 server. Implemented Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 to deliver line-of-business application to remote offices. Provided support for 140 Windows desktop users. Designed and installed Acronis-based automated server image backup system.
The Kalispell Tribe of Indians, Cusick, WA: designed and implemented a secure point-to-point WLAN connection between tribal HQ and tribal courthouse.

Guided and drove analysis, selection and development of design verification, diagnostic, and engineering solutions, significantly reducing manufacturing test costs through the integration of JTAG with internally-developed solutions

Successfully negotiated and secured free upgrade to Enterprise version of Test Director, resulting in cost savings of $12,000 USD.
Designed and stood up new QA lab facility, emphasizing cost, functionality, flexibility, and future application.
Implemented structured project management methodologies, including introduction of case documentation and functional specifications, improving feature and enhancement development.
Managed alpha and beta releases of eMake application, with a strong focus on minimizing corporate exposure while gathering critical response data on early release from early adopters.
Participated in development and testing of eMake web-based publish and subscribe component, enabling VPN connection to web-based database, as well as eMake Connect, supporting Citrix ICA client functionality.
Microsoft Corporation – 1995 to 1999
Designed and supervised restructure of SQL test lab,including physical facilities redesign, refocus of requirements, and contract negotiations for new facility equipment, achieving cost savings of over $30,000 USD while minimizing downtime.
Served as technical liaison with key Microsoft vendors and partners, providing on-site and telephone-based support on partner benchmark activities, achieving record TPC-C benchmark results.
Participated in implementation of TPC-C kits for SQL Server 6.0, 6.5 and 7.0, including enhancements to functionality, usability, and data collection capabilities.
Directly fulfilled NT department needs, coordinating with developer to thoroughly test and implement multiple-instance version of SQL Server 7.0.
